Good morning everyone
As per the mandate announced by the Provincial Government on October 15th, 2021, all regulated health care professionals are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by December 19th, 2021. I have attached the link for the Newfoundland and Labrador Regulation 2021, COVID-19 Vaccine Regulations under the Public Health Protection and Promotion Act (O.C 2021-64) which details who is included in this mandate (NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 57/21 (assembly.nl.ca). This mandate is being enforced by the Provincial Government and Public Health.
To our knowledge, the Provincial government will be responsible for enforcing the mandate and reprimanding anyone who does not comply. The CMTNL is strongly encouraging all RMT’s to abide by the legislation and be vaccinated by December 19th, 2021.
